Robbery Suspects Nabbed After Alameda Shielded Heists
Alameda sheriff's officers and Oakland city police captured four men in Hayward and detained them at gunpoint after they allegedly staged three armed robberies in Oakland and San Leandro. Eleven Injuries From Alameda County Weekend Crashes
California highway patrol reports eleven injuries from district accidents in southern Alameda County. The worst injures a boy, Lawrence Jones eight, son of Clyde James, after a car driven by his father crashed into a ditch near Lake Chabot road. Larsen, a 15 year old rider, escaped with cuts and bruises. Several others, including Martha James and Alma James, sustained injuries from separate crashes in Jamestown area and Decata residents. A second collision at 147th and East 4th Street injured Byron Hendricks and Abel Fuentes, with Bernice Martinez and Benjamin Martinez suffering minor injuries in a later overturn on Seventh Street. Nearby Irvington incidents left Mr and Mrs Lawson with cuts after their cat collided with Clarence Benge’s car. Two San Jose men, Schreiber and Mord, were hurt when Schreiber’s jeep hit a tree on Pleasanton Sunol highway.
