Two heavily armed bandits held up two post office officials in San Francisco and fled with three sacks of currency from the Bank of Italy totaling about 28000 dollars. Deputies and nearby officers joined a chase through Tracy, where a third robber waited in a faster car and the crew escaped westward.

Death of Joseph Freitas in California obituary note

Mrs. Mary Brown Buried After Dying at Daughter’s Home
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Brown were held at St. Catherine's church in Martinez after she died at her daughter Mrs. George Papara's Hayward home Monday morning. Burial followed at St. Catherine's cemetery. Survived by children Mrs. Mary Silva of Modes to, Mrs. George Papara of Hayward, Alfred and Joseph Brown of Concord, Charles and Dominic Brown of San Leandro, and brother M. B. Fose of Ashland. Former San Leandro resident, ill for over a year, she was mourned by many in Hayward and San Leandro.

Winter Poultry Show Moves to Hayward End November
The Northern California Poultry Club will stage the Winter Poultry Show at the Highme-Daniels Buick building in Hayward during Thanksgiving week.
