Four Hurt In Crash Saturday On Castro Street

Four people were injured Saturday night when their car struck a parked vehicle on Castro Street near Sunset Boulevard. John Clement, 30, and his wife Agnes Clement 29 suffered injuries including a cut tongue and possible rib fracture. Verna Paul 21 and Max Paul 22 sustained facial injuries. The other car belonged to Paul Marshall, 244 Castro Street, who reported the struck rear of his vehicle. Police noted Clement had been drinking and said he hit the car as it began to pull out, though no one was seen in the parked car.

Willkie's Son Will Attend Funeral Tuesday

Rushville Indiana dispatch reports that Wendell L Willkie candidate for president in 1940 will be laid to rest in East Hill cemetery east of Rushville tomorrow after Memorial chapel. The pallbearers will be Willkie farm tenants and burial will follow services delayed to allow Lt Willkie to attend. Fire damages Russell City home on Friday the 13th

A kitchen and roof fire at the Ben Corts residence in Hansell City caused about 500 dollars in damage. Russell City Fire Department, led by Chief Kenneth Garen, extinguished the blaze in about 20 minutes after arrival. Fairview Department was dispatched but found the fire out on arrival.

Fourth Crash on Dublin Road Involving Bus Collision
