The crash on Dublin Highway 50 killed Tayim Kay a Navy bus driver and wounded 17 sailors and two civilian women as the bus headed to Carp Parks collided with a truck three miles west of Dublin at 8 30 p m Witnesses say the bus with its interior light on struck the rear of the truck as the driver looked for a disturbance in the rear of the bus Navy doctors and corpsmen arrived quickly and a number of personnel were hospitalized at Shoemaker Naval Hospital with several in critical condition Acetylene torches were used to separate the two vehicles and traffic was snarled for miles An extensive list of injured personnel from Camp Parks Shoemaker and related units is provided including sailors and Marines and five civilian operators all treated at Shoemaker hospital

Marion KR. Freitas, 83, of Washington Ave, San Leandro, is in Hayward Hospital after a gasoline tank exploded during a cutting torch on a cadnes day while wrecking a car. Mrs. Freitas pulled him to safety as a boy witnessed the accident. He suffers abrasions and shock, with treatment ongoing.

Albany district attorney Morrid said he would send for David L. Rosenberg, former clothing store manager, from San Diego to Albany. A bench warrant issued yesterday by Albany County Judge Bartholomew Gallup is en route. Rosenberg, 44, was indicted in 1936 on a charge of abducting Eleanor Clayton, 24, a former nightclub hostess who died of injuries after the alleged abduction.

Recovered Kidnapped Baby In Detroit Case
Detroit police recovered four month old Robert James King unharmed after a suspect posing as a white nursemaid claimed the child. Fingerprints matched those of Mrs. Eugene Smith, wife of a local pharmacist, who had helped attract tips leading to the recovery. Boy 13 Kills Sister With Unloaded Gun
In Hanford California an eight year old girl Glenda Low Yar was killed when a rifle fired through a door from an allegedly unloaded gun. Her brother Orville thirteen thought the weapon was unloaded and aimed it at the door. The gun blast pierced the door and struck her at the kitchen sink.

Shotgun Kills Veteran of War at Irvington Home
A 12 gauge shotgun killed Arthur Donald Piatelli, a 34 year old war veteran, discovered in his garage at 433 Union St Irvington by Serafin Bettencourt at 6 30 am. He was shot through the heart.
