Navy lieutenant killed as car plunges off Bolimer Hill
A Navy lieutenant died and two sailors were seriously injured when Shell automobile crashed from Highway 60 near Bolimer Hill at 4 30 this morning. Lt Joseph M Roberts 31 died instantly while Petty Officer Wart M Keyes 29 and Lt Hi J Kachersperger 42 were hospitalized with serious injuries. Police attributed possible sleep fatigue and excessive speed with no skid marks indicating brakes, the car ending 40 feet below in a creek. All three men belonged to the 7 Naval Construction Battalion at Camp Parks.

Richmond Man Dies In Arizona Crash
Richmond man Blackwell 18 was killed when his car collided head on with a truck driven by Manuel Chavez five miles west of Flagstaff Arizona. His wife Betty 17 suffered a broken neck and basal skull fracture and was listed in critical condition at a Play staff hospital. His parents Mr and Mrs A B Blackwell were injured. Chavez escaped unharmed. Arizona highway patrol said the man was blinded by the rising sun and lost control of the car.
