Hickam Field Hawaii reports the B-28 Pacuson Dreamboat, a 74 ton bomber with 13,000 gallons of fuel and a 10 man crew, took off at 8:20 am for a 10,000 mile non stop flight over the North Pole to Cairo. Co pilot Lt Col Beverly H Warren at the controls as weather remained ideal for the Great Circle route.
