Northcott Dies on Gallows After Turbulent Confession
Gordon Stewart Northcott was executed at San Quentix at 10 10 am after collapsing on the way to the chamber. He handed the warden a new confession accusing his father Cyrus Northcott and Sanford Clark a nephew of part in the murders. His mother Mrs Lou Northcott and Mrs Christine Collins waited in prison nearby as authorities said Walter Collins and other victims were killed at the ranch in 1928 29 and 1929 by the trio.

Two Suspects Held In Theft In Mount Eden San Jose Robbery
Two boys were arrested in San Jose on suspicion of involvement in the robbery of the A. E. B. Oliver & Co. general store at Mount Eden early the same morning. Police notified here, and the youths reportedly confessed. Loot valued between 75 and 250 dollars included cigars cigarettes candy razors and hardware. They face charges in San Jose and may be brought here for trial if freed.
