Critics argue Seelye lacks direct WW II experience and warn the post risks becoming a political plum rather than aiding rehabilitated veterans.
Tamil Raya, who pleaded guilty to non support, faces sentencing in court Friday. The complaint, filed by his former wife Ethel Miller of Via Coches, alleges Raya failed to provide food clothing shelter or medical care for three children Lucille six Joan four and Margaret Ann Le.

The Living War Memorial Committee of the Hayward Area Chamber of Commerce proposed a memorial field near Hayward Army Air Field.
