High School Quartback Paralyzed After Football Tackle

Sailors Hurt In East 14th Street Accident
Two Camp Shoemaker sailors were injured when struck by an automobile while crossing East 14th Street at 155th Avenue. Nicholas De Los Santos was knocked unconscious. Ralph Bludsworth, 22, also injured. Driver Ensign Lester Cornell, 22, Merchant Marine, failed to see them in time. Both men hospitalized at Shoemaker hospital. Police noted two other minor accidents yesterday involving Richard Starkweather, 43, and Oscar Peterson, 48, with Peterson injuring himself against a cement guard rail and bicycle collisions near Hayward High School.
