PG and E Plans $16,117 Castro Valley Line Rebuild
Local agent William Oswill says Pacific Gas and Electric will spend about 16117 to reconstruct pole lines in Castro Valley. Crews will rebuild lines on Castro Valley Road East 14th Street to Foothill Boulevard then to Hayward High School and on A Street Dubin Road and Lake Chabot Road to standardize the system. Heavier wires will feed the Northeast via the new Hayward Substation as building activity grows electric service needs.

Eighty four candidates from Hayward Grammar School will take graduation exams prepared by the Alameda County Board of Education. The June 1926 class faces tests Friday with most pupils having studied a standard curriculum though recent transfers may be at a disadvantage. Graduation is set for Thursday evening at 8 oclock on June 19.
