The Congregational Church invites the community to a Mother’s Day service next Sunday with the sermon Our Mothers. The program includes hymns and choir music, a public questionnaire in the evening, Bible school at 10 am, and Christian Endeavor at 7 pm. A business meeting is planned Tuesday at 6 o’clock.
Detroit figures show Graham Brothers lead in 1 ton trucks and combined ton and 1 4 ton volumes, ahead of all rivals except Ford. Walter Daniels notes their steady rise from twentieth place less than three years ago to producing over 100 trucks daily with understated growth.

Mrs Reid praised PTA work and district growth. Accompanied by Mrs G Walter and Mrs J N Anderson, refreshments were served.
Ashland notes that the Improvement Club will welcome twelve new members since January with a May 19 reception featuring two vaudeville shows, games, and refreshments. The club will also hold a May 16 dance in the school auditorium with Perry's Seven Aces. planned June picnic may be at Alum Rock Park or Santa Cruz mountains.

Bill Burehill and Sid Loewenthal, newly named Hudson Essex dealers, lease the former Walter Daniels Dodge building beside the Hayward post office. Daniels will move to Mobile Row mid month as the five year lease promises two fine showrooms in a prime location for the new agency.
Friday evening at 7 30 the Junior Choir of the Congregational Church presents a musical program to raise funds for sheet music. Admission is 25 cents for adults and 15 cents for children. Come for a evening of entertainment and good things.
