A light burned for two weeks at Freemont Avenue Centerville revealed Joseph Guein 78 dead at home. Deputy Coroner Thomas Berge ruled death natural from Centerville as an ongoing investigation by Joseph Lewis of the California Highway Patrol. Survived by brother Antone Lucia Centerville aunt of Antone Amaral Decoto Leonard Luvio Newark and Mrs Mary Hansen Fort Bragg. Son of late Joseph Luck and late Mary Luciu. Funeral services pending at Bere Mortuary Niles.
In Detroit at Wayne General Hospital an audience of 100 including doctors scientists students and reporters watched as the hospitalized pianist known as Mad Master X sat to perform. He played 45 minutes of classical works including Moonlight Sonata Polonaise Militaire and Chopin pieces dispelling doubts about his talent despite his mental illness.
Clade H Warner 30 of Portersville faces hit and run charges after an accident involving Mia Ine Santina 66 of Daevito. Warner, held on 4500 bail, was chased through Decolo streets by David Jancira, Decolo Chamber of Commerce president. Highway Patrolman Wheeler testified marks show Warner drove on the long side for 200 feet. Warner claimed he panicked after hitting someone. Mrs Santiago remained at Highs tane Hospital with a fractured pelvis.

San Francisco officials said they will appeal for federal assistance in the ongoing investigation into Alfred Leonard Cine, a 66 year old mill owner, and the sequence of deaths and tragedies linked to him. The case has become intricate and potentially costly for the city.

Cpl Lewis H Taylor, pictured with a buddy at Waikiki, was stationed with the 880th anti aircraft battery for seven months. A Hayward Union High School graduate, he and his wife Margaret Hensley live at 20150 Haviland Ave with their two sons. He trained at Fort Bliss and was overseas from Burlingame, Washington, last August, then discharged on dependency grounds.
A committee to study a proposed Alameda County Farm Bureau building was named led by secretary H C Underwood with Ernest Wente Edwin Orloff and Jeryl Fry chosen to survey interest from Government State and County farm agencies. A directors meeting is set for April 4 at Livermore city hall to review plans. Questionnaires will be sent to agencies to gauge interest space site rental estimates and growth projections. The aim is a coordinated facility that funds itself.

In San Francisco 4000 members of Machinists Lodge 68 voted to secede from the International Association of Machinists. The local, already suspended from the AFL, approved the 18 cent hourly wage agreement negotiated by the Pacific Coast shipbuilding stabilization conference.

The executive board of the Southern Alameda Citizens' Committee for Public Health schedules a March 16 meeting at 10 AM in the high school cafeteria to review actions and policy for a proposed public health program. Negotiations pressed on in the General Motors strike as a federal mediator scheduled a low-key conference for 12:30 p.m. PST. The dispute widened into a leadership contest within the CIO United Automobile Workers, with UAW President R J Thomas and vice president Walter P Reuther clashing as 17 local presidents called for a change at the national convention in Atlantic City in March.
Moezzo soprano soloist Beta Popnor will sing Datch folk songs at a Alameda County Teachers Association program in Wayward Union High School on Wednesday evening March 1. Her husband Jerbert Jam Popper accompanies and acts as narrator.
