Co F 168th Infantry is officially welcomed by Hayward with band music fire sirens and a march through principal streets. Captain Tolles praises the unit and pledges a first class organization. An armory drill with bayonet work and first aid follows a banquet hosted by Judge Har der. Two recruits sign up and a new recruiting drive begins with headquarters at the armory. Federal inspection is set for Wednesday evening March 106 by Major Clarence McMurray.

Pay Fines for Traffic Violations in Local Court
B A Wasyliza of Grass Valley was fined 25 dollars by Judge Harder after pleading guilty to driving without an operator license, no trailer license, and tires with insufficient tread. Edward Robey of Oakland and George M Cowell of Berkeley, real estate salesmen, paid 25 and 16 dollars respectively for staging a race on Foothill Boulevard.

Auto Hits Tree Injuring Two Women and Two Children

Capt Folles Opens Recruiting Office

Poultry Meeting Set Friday in Hayward District
A Hayward district poultry meeting will be held Friday night at the Hayward Poultry Producers Association assembly hall. Farm advisor Russell F. Robinson will preside as topics cover disease control feeding housing selection and other poultry concerns.
