Rowell Rodeo Finals Draw Huge Two Day Crowd
The 1929 Hayward rodeo at the Harry Rower ranch in Dublin drew thousands on Sunday as the two day event featured top broncho riders. John Schneider of Monte Vista won the champion broncho riding title, with Rey Bartram second, and Len Smith and Bill Sawyer following. Several riders were injured but most continued. A standout moment was the mare Queen jumping an automobile. The American Legion band provided steady tunes amid dust and heat.
