Ditch Digger Hurt When Auto Pins Him In Ditch
John Espieha age 45 of Hayward suffered facial and head lacerations after an automobile driven by Leonard Roderick 14 Hayward struck the ditch worker and pinned him beneath the wrecked vehicle. Initial fears of fatal injury eased to concussion as he was treated at Hayward Central Hospital. The youth driver had no license and said a truck forced him to swerve onto the opposite curb. his mother had lent him the car for an errand.
