Driver In Dublin Canyon Truck Crash At 2 P.M.
Donald Haverill, 22, was rushed to Hayward General Hospital after his truck overturned on the Dublin Canyon highway about 2 o'clock this afternoon. He suffered severe body bruises and a possibly fractured leg. Haverill, an Ariss-Knapp employee, was alone in the truck. no witnesses were reported. He was transported by passing motorists and is resting easily.

Armstrongs Return From Santa Cruz Trip

Show Grounds to Be Illuminated Now Until Aug 8
The Farm Products show grounds in Memorial Park will be illuminated every evening until the show opens in August. Hugo Frank, overseer of prelim arrangements, asks that current be supplied and lights used from dusk to 11 o clock. The illumination should boost fence signs advertising the event and draw passersby to investigate. Hayward backs a high value countywide display with civic support.

Hayward city schools prepare for the Alameda County Farm Products Show at Hayward Park August 1 to 12. Activities include a parade a flower pageant and displays of school work with music by a student band. Rehearsals begin August 1 and about 300 entries are already registered.
