An eight year old Niles boy confessed to repeatedly opening post office letter boxes, taking small sums of money and money orders totaling nine to ten dollars. Deputies found torn letters and several stolen items. The youth was turned over to Juvenile authorities after authorities noted multiple boxes could be opened without current combinations. postmaster warned to repair locks.
Three merchant seamen en route to Los Angeles were stopped Wednesday evening after tampering with a police patrol car by puncturing tires. Suspects Uvadford Conran 22 Willany South 22 and Wawley ii 23 detained. Conran kept at station while others were released. Later, a report to Nay ward Sheriff claimed all four men died near the city patrol route.
