Ashland Man Dies in Crash in Oakland
Ashland resident William B. O’Farrell, 40, of 1625 170 Avenue, Ashland, died last night when his car collided head on with a westbound truck loaded with steel beams on San Leandro Street toward Oakland. Police say his car swerved across the center line at 2nd Avenue. The truck driver Celestina Cunlut, 1237 Rose Street, Berkeley, survived. O’Farrell was en route home from Oakland where he is employed at the Pacific Tow Company, 2240 Filbert Street, San Francisco. Funeral services were planned for Peatt-Piers.
