Six Year Old Boy Killed by Auto in Castro Valley
Six year old George W. Battenfield died after being struck by a car driven by Kelster Christensen at the Castro Valley and Foothill boulevard junction. The child, playing with his brother, was struck between 7 30 and evening and died en route to the hospital. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Lionel Battenfield of Castro Valley. Funeral arrangements not yet made.

The program, led by director Hollingshead and the Bret Harte band, aims to inspire younger students and showcase local talent with a community audience invited to attend.
