The group endorsed immediate action and transmission of board recommendations to the War Food Administration.
Tanya Rameneff, also Tanya Barber, was taken into custody by Hayward deputies on a Los Angeles Superior Court warrant for probation violation. The 23 year old owner of a San Mateo Rent-a-Car reportedly failed to report to probation after a 1994 conviction and 90 days in county jail. she awaits trial in Oakland County Jutland on bad check charges.
Army forms Soldier Voting Branch under Lt Col J C White to manage soldier ballots for the November federal elections. The unit will serve Army Ground Forces, Army Air Forces, and ports of embarkation, with overseas ballots handled by another jurisdiction. Distribution expected by September 15.
