Sacramento July 29 United States Biological Survey and the State Department of Agriculture report that California hunters killed 4270 predatory animals for the 52 month period ending July 1. The count shows ringtails and other cats led the losses with 3525 animals felled by professional hunters.
Sunday events include a large community picnic at Idlewood Park Niles Canyon hosted by Consolidated Improvement Clubs Eden Township and a Woodman Woodcraft basket picnic at Ferriabrook Park Niles Canyon by Cypress Camp Woodmen of the World and Palma Circle Neighbors of Woodcraft.
