Allied bomber force of about 500 aircraft escorted by P 51s and Mustangs struck oil refineries in the Vienna basin and three fighter fields around Vienna. Pittsfield Mass report states socialite John F. Noxon Jr. was sentenced to die in the electric chair for the murder of his six month old son Lawrence.
