Eight directors were elected to the Chamber of Commerce board with Judge Jacob Harder Jr. receiving the highest votes at 87 and I. B. Parsons close behind with 77. Other winners include Carl Sorenson 69, Frank Pereira 65, Arthur Manter 51, Eric Ruus 56, Frank J. Cunha and Hugo Frank, while eight unsuccessful candidates trailed. The vote total reached 102 ballots from a 16-candidate slate. The new board will meet Tuesday at the headquarters to organize and discuss Alameda county advertising and the possible creation of a junior college at Harvard.

Senator Oscar Enderwood Dies in Virginia

They seek duties on live poultry from 3 to 10 cents a pound dead poultry from 6 to 10 cents a pound on shell eggs from 10 to 20 cents a dozen frozen eggs from 6 to 12 cents a pound and dried albumin 60 cents a pound and dried yolk 30 cents a pound. The industry ranks sixth in importance among agricultural sectors.

Ignacio Ribeira Dies At Home In Harvard At 61
Ignacio Ribeira 61 and a Harvard resident died Thursday at his home on 11 Sonoma Street.
