Stalled plane finally takes to the air after five days
The Maddox tri motor airplane that had been stuck in a muddy Eden field on the A. W. Schafer farm near Mount Eden since a forced landing Saturday night broke free Thursday evening. Drying ground allowed a safe takeoff about five o clock with ten passengers unharmed. The craft had diverted from Los Angeles to Oakland and landed in the field after fuel ran low. It was flown to Oakland airport Thursday night.
