Frank Gouveia, 56, of Foot Hill Boulevard and Oakview Avenue, is in serious condition at Fairort County Hospital after attempting suicide with a penknife following a wreck on Dublin Canyon Road. Police report he believed his car was wrecked, walked home, then wounded himself in a pool of blood before a passerby called a physician. He initially refused aid and spoke little. authorities offered no clear motive.
