A man was taken for medical care in critical condition after a gunfire incident near a beach farmhouse. Police were summoned from the scene as investigations begin. the suspect is believed among a group that went to the area.
United Press report notes Clifford Holland son of a nurseryman was shot and left for dead. Dago Martinez and Martine are sought for questioning in connection with burglaries. Holland allegedly provided information. At noon he was reported slightly improved at St Luke's hospital.
J A founder’s day pilgrimage scheduled in Pleasanton features a Junior Red Cross exhibit by Hayward area students. Sponsors include Katherine Borneman with area art teachers and several district and state education leaders. Visitors may bring cameras to photograph the exhibit and all are invited to join the events.
Plans are complete for the Federated Improve meet club annual banquet at the Maseule temple tonight starting at 7. About 100 persons are expected to attend to hear views from many sections on the Alameda County fair and its future location.
