The Valley PTA funds a school dental chair enabling daily treatment for students, prioritizing severe mental defect cases first. A charity card party on February 21 aims to raise additional funds as costs remain unfunded.
The Heyward Builders' Exchange organized with Roscoe F. Byrnes as president James Willson as vice president E P Whitman as secretary and L R Rosenberg as treasurer. Directors formed committees on Finance Quarters Publicity Grievance Legislation and an active membership drive eyed to reach forty or fifty members soon.
Poinsetta Camp Royal Neighbors of America and Hayward Camp Modern Woodmen of America sponsor a Valentine Dance on Tuesday evening February 15 at Odd Fellows Hall to aid a sick and destitute member. Tickets: 35 cents for gentlemen, 16 cents for additional ladies. Good music and a good time promised.
The Junior Holy Name Society will host a whist party on Wednesday February 16 at the State Bank hall B street starting at p.m. Prizes will be on display in E Massa's window. A large attendance is greatly desired.
Alameda Investment Company hosts a 7 30 PM meeting at Castro and Sunset to discuss completing a 100000 Hayward Mortgage and Development plan. Ten homes are under construction with 20 to 30 more planned, aiming to build up to 200 houses this year priced from 95 down with monthly payments. Properties include half acre plots four and five room houses and chicken equipment for 4000 to 500 hens, overall sale prices between 2600 and 5000 dollars.
Hayward Club and Social Groups organize a vaudeville night for the Second District FTA convention with many local organizations contributing skits and acts. The event at the new high school auditorium aims to entertain 700 attendees and raise funds, featuring music, stunts, solos, and collaborations from groups like the American Legion and Lions Club.
The Janeual Show by the Pacific Rabbit Breeders Association in Hayward drew 8 dogs and 200 exhibits. Organizers praised local merchants Lions Club and Hayward Review for backing, noted visitors were courteous, and expressed optimism for a bigger, earlier event next year in Hayward with broader regional turnout.

Betram Arthur Hamolston son of Mrs Edith and the late William Hamilton of Castro Valley died Wednesday at age 18 years 10 months 24 days. He is survived by his widowed mother a sister and three brothers Samuel WilHam C and Harry Hamilton. Funeral Saturday at 2 from Sorensen Bros undertaking parlors Rev F E Nelson will officiate Interment in Lome Tree cemetery.
Isaiah Hale, chief of safety for the Santa Fe Railway, is billed to address Rotary next Monday on The Philosophy of Safety. His talks have drawn wide esteem and Bay region groups hope to hear him. the San Francisco appearance limits his schedule. The High School gym is the venue, per John Robinson.
