Four persons were injured when a car collided with a truck on Valle Cutas Road five miles from Liver more Sunday at 4 p.m. The car driver Robert Harold Freeman 22 of Modesto suffered facial lacerations. Frances Byerly 20 of Modesto had injuries. Clifford E. Freeman 44 of Santa Maria sustained a broken nose and bruises. Ruby Fiscus 21 of Modesto received a slight head injury. The truck driver Archie L. Stephens of Kingsburg was unharmed. Freeman said sun glare blinded him causing the crash while the truck was proceeding uphill after a bend.

In Point Arena California two people died in a cabin fire of unknown origin early today. Mrs Lillian Deltorchio a Standard Oil Refinery employee at Richmond and an unidentified man believed to be a Richmond resident perished in the blaze at Henry Beebe s cabin which was destroyed before a fire alarm. Coast Guardsmen and about 500 volunteer firefighters fought the blaze for two hours.

Sailor Held After Assault With Auto Crank
Benjamin F. Sisson, a sailor, is held in Hayward Jail on investigation of assault with a deadly weapon after striking Shirley Robert Bury and Mrs Ves ta Baer with an auto crank on Cassitu Street Saturday night. Shore Patrol arrived at the scene and took Sisson into custody while Mrs Barr and her husband were hospitalized with wounds. Witnesses described a confrontation on Casttu Street as Sisson, aided by another sailor, bumped into Mrs Tooley. Sisson allegedly struck Ban with the crank and then attacked Mrs Barr who intervened. Barr was knocked down as Sisson and his companion retreated until the Shore Patrol intervened. Mr and Mrs Barr plan to sign a complaint today.
