Hayward residents celebrate six months of the Young Men's Club founded by T. B. Jackson. The club faced skepticism but has become a valued center for amusement and recreation for all ages, offering a better alternative to streets and saloons and showing growing possibilities ahead.
Resolutions adopted by the Fourth Quarterly Conference of the Haywards M Church on August 23 1900 express appreciation for An Jon Kinny as presiding elder of the Oshdind District. They note policy against long travel in the same district and wish for a life tenure in special care while praying for his future field. Copies are to be filed, shared with Haywards newspapers, and presented to Dr Kirby.
