Two men attempted to break into the Model Shop on Main Street around 5 am. They shattered a rear window and fled after a perceived ghostly sighting. A jimmy was left behind as Chief Louis Silva chased leads through nearby towns, suspecting a car getaway.
The Presbyterian men’s club will meet at the church Thursday at 6 30 PM. Attendees will share a meal enjoy music and discuss club business. The event is expected to be a general friendly gathering with good will.

Tuesday evening at the Hayward theatre KiM Broadcasting presents a broadcast demonstration with artists including Warren Guthrie John Paniagua Andre Hattye Adams and Blind Hervey. The theatre will be converted into a broadcasting studio between shows for an educational entertainment program featuring radio recording and a central alto voice.
Henry Rego appeared before Judge Jacob Harder and demanded trial by jury. The case was continued to Monday morning April 30 for a jury trial after police raided the Rose Jensen house on South Castro Street and seized liquor.
