Ravenstein Confirmed as Postmaster in Hayti

Baby Clinic Held In Hayti This Week

Civic League and county agents organized a baby health clinic in Hayti with Dr Minerva Knott acting Public Health Service official and Nurse Mrs Hausmann. The event included a malarial sore examination of grammar school children, a public information meeting at the high school, and a Mother’s conference for children under school age.

Chamber of Commerce Meeting Deliberates County Map Display

The Chamber of Commerce discussed exhibiting a large county map at the Southeast Missouri exhibit in St. Louis. A committee will confer with Caruthersville Chamber and pursue the project. They also form a committee to study reducing monthly dues to widen membership and consider a new 30 to 53 room hotel project with funds available. A box of cigars was shared among members.

Former resident dies in Cape Girardeau

The death of Mrs. P. R. Smith of Cape Girardeau was reported Thursday morning. A former resident, she died at five o clock. Burial will be in Cape Girardeau today. She was married to Frisco Claim Agent P. R. Smith and was well known locally. Several residents plan to attend the funeral, including Mrs. Elmer Stephens. Boast your best for Hayti.

Civic League invites meeting with Haitian health experts
