Matt J Conran of New Madrid County announces candidacy for state senator in the district subject to Democratic voters at the August primary election. In Caruthersville a woman died from injuries after her buggy frightened by a motorcyclist. Her child received painful injuries. Pemiscot County Ch m fixtension Society met in Hayti with strong attendance and lively interest. Revs. T. G. Milllin and A. D. Rankin attended from outer and Steele.
Little Raymond and Lenere went to Caruthersville on Saturday to spend a week with their cousins Hobert and Puris Nina.

An inquest was held near Swift on Thursday over an unidentified male body found in a ditch the previous day. The corpse showed poor identification with a blue serge coat marked IT Kohn, yellow corduroy pants, brass-rimmed glasses, and a cob pipe. No papers or identifying items were recovered. the body was buried at the site. Sebastian Popham, from Senath, announced willingness to work at T. E. Cunninghm’s butcher shop.
