Arrest of man for assault on blind stepdaughter
Police officers arrested George Vick, a Blytheville carpenter, in the act with his 13 year old blind stepdaughter Nell Kinder at the BH. J. Wilson rooming house on East Yoakum avenue. Vick, of Marion DL, had lured the girl here promising clothing and schooling for the blind. The victim arrived Sunday and was taken to a room where the arrest occurred Monday noon.

Boy Kills Brother on Island in accidental shooting
Wes Bowman, about 19, on an island north of Cottonwood Point, shot his younger brother around 9 o clock Sunday morning. The cartridge passed through the body and the boy died soon after.
