Judge Argo Sells Phonograph In Classified Boost
A local four line classified ad offering an Edison phonograph drew quick interest when Judge J M Argo reported an inquiry from Campbell within thirty six hours. The judge hurried to stop the ad, noting no other phonograph was available, but said he would use Herald columns again if one becomes available.

County Seat Highway Project Aims to Link Kennett and Hayti
Drew Wardell of Kennett discussed a planned county seat highway from Kennett in Dunklin county to Carutheraville in Hayti with local business leaders. Kennett Commercial Club will raise 10 000 to 12 000 dollars to fund its segment from Kennett to the county line, anticipating a bridge network across Little River swamps and ditches. The route would pass through Hayti center, boosting trade and promoting closer county ties as the Dunklin and Dunklin courts push for immediate construction.
