Scarce food fishes found on Albatross Molokai coast cruise
The Albatross returned from a two week dredging voyage reporting scarce food fishes off Molokai Lanai and leeward areas while scientific work proceeds. Dredge gear fouling caused delays and reef bottom samples reveal barren rocky gravel in places. Soundings suggest a possible tableland at 290 to 300 fathoms around the group.

Assessor Pratt Holds Goods in Foreclosure Tax Case
At a King Street sale of bicycle sundries in the Bailey store, Tax Assessor Pratt seized two show cases, a safe and a cash register over back taxes. The Hawaiian Trust Company mortgagee contends goods were not in mortgagor possession, while the assessor and his attorney bid to retain items. Auctioneer Morgan paid proceeds to the mortgagee, the Japanese buyer lost his cash, and no decision announced on further action against Pratt.
