A Hawaiian association football league meeting is set for this evening at the Scottish This ue Club rooms at 8 o clock. Rumors of a Maile Nimas and Kamehameha clubs merger are unfounded. The league baseball season opening is moved from April 19 to May 3. Umpires named for the season include H. A.C, J. A. Thompson, Mantle Threas, Duke McNichol, Artillery Wo W. Sayler, Customhouse Chas. Graham, Kamehamehas S. Mahelons, Punahou Morris Keohokalale. Lorrin Andrews is official scorer. A committee of Andrews, Wise, and J. Taylor will pick permanent fenced grounds. Beginning May 1 the Baseball League will meet weekly on Thursdays at 8. Teams may not drop a player who has appeared for another nine, with other restrictions on roster strength.

Sixteen Horses Burned To Death In Detroit Fire
A training stable belonging to Frank H. Coltr in Highland Park burned at daybreak, killing sixteen horses including Red Royal, Harry P, The Kink and Maiden Queen. One animal escaped but was shot due to severe burns. Total loss about $50,000. Coltr planned to enter nominations in a July Blue Ribbon meet.
