Fire Destroys Large Chilson Barn Near Harvard
A Friday morning fire at the Mrs Winnie Chilson farm north of Harvard destroyed a large barn built sixteen years ago by W 4H Chilson deceased. Estimated cost of the building and additions was at least 35000 dollars. Insurance coverage was only 14200 dollars. Fire company responded but could not stop the blaze which spread to nearby structures and equipment. Local farmers Maude Gillis Alby Udell and Tahn Huckstadt were among the first to notice and raise the alarm.
