The Owensboro Inquirer reports in Whitesville that the Diffee family, linked to a sweeping but dubious labor saving venture, manipulated townsfolk and churches to gain social standing. It describes stock swapping, misrepresented products, and alleged sales schemes tied to a patent dispute between powder and liquid formulas, stirring community indignation.
The Lexington Leader features cartoons by a county boy Herb Pelix from Ohio. Though a beginner with no formal training, his work shows rare promise and hints at a bright future if he completes his studies at State University and continues drawing.

Edgar H James brother of Senator James is nominated to be U S Marshal for the Western district of Kentucky to succeed George W Long who took office in 1906 and has served nearly eight years The marshal may appoint seven deputies whose salaries range from 600 to 1800 and current deputies at Louisville Paducah Owensboro Bowling Green are listed It is unlikely the new marshal will assume office before a month Courts restart next week and the incumbent may need time to prepare accounts The notice also advertises a physician Dr G B Dockery locating in Beaver Dam for examinations and design inquiry
Ohio county growers from Hopkins Henderson and Webster vote on ratifying by laws and constitution adopted in Owensboro. Henderson and Hopkins approve. Webster split two of five districts ratifying. Union and Crittenden counties show support. a joint session of Stemming and Greenbrigg districts plans a final meeting. The organization aims to elect officers, establish headquarters, and launch the new cooperative as membership grows in Daviess and McLean counties. A notice at Hartford calls a meeting for Friday November 28 at 10 p m.
