Senate Backs 640 Million Aviation Bill For Air Service

Washington July 3 The Senate passed a 640 million aviation service bill without amendment or record vote to fund about 22,000 aeroplanes and nearly 100,000 men. The Hardwick amendment to strike drafting authority was defeated 66 to 12. The President is expected to sign soon as construction accelerates.
