Mrs Ida Allen wife of J Thomas Allen died at their home in Nashville Tennessee during the latter part of last week from pneumonia. The remains were sent to Roanne for burial on Saturday afternoon. The couple had formerly lived in Rosine where both were born and reared she was formerly Miss Ida Childs.

Stevens to Direct Baptist Church in Louisville
The Rev. C D Stevens, an evangelical worker from Eastern Kentucky, will become minister of the Twenty second and Walnut Street Baptist Church tomorrow. Installation likely a week hence. James Hoover of Friedland died early Sunday from pneumonia after a brief illness. Burial was Monday afternoon at Cane Run. He was 70 and never married, a brother of Bob Hoover. Lewis Hoover is also a surviving family member.

Influenza Cases Reported in Ohio County Since December 1919

Death of Thomas Ford Near Horse Branch
Thomas Ford of near Horse Branch died last Friday morning at the home of Cicero Rice from pneumonia. Burial was Saturday afternoon at Salem. Ford had gone to aid Rice’s ill family and contracted pneumonia. Mr. Cobb and family moved into Mrs. Mattie Barrett’s property in the southeast part of town, shipping goods from Livermore by barge.
