Guest Speaker Evans To Address Homecoming Service
The Rev. James H. Evans associate secretary of the Connecticut Council of Churches will speak at the second annual home coming service Sunday October 13 at Talcott Street Congregational Church at 11 o clock. The men of the church led by Jarvis H. Arms will conduct the service. Evans, a Western Michigan education graduate with a Yale Divinity School B D, has served as pastor in New Haven Brooklyn and New York and is moderator of the New York Congregational Christian Conference.

Memorial Organ Dedicated at Pondi Street Baptist Church
The Memorial Organ dedication service at Pondi Street Baptist Church drew many families last Sunday at 7 pm. Rev. Samuel D. Proctor led the litany of dedication with Mrs. Gomes at the organ. John W. Banker spoke for the Organ Committee, Mae E. Bentley replied for the Music Committee, and Miss Betty Bailey performed pieces with the Youth Fellowship Choir under Betty Bailey’s direction. The organ fund near $1600, with thanks to contributors and treasurer Harry W. Blunt.
