Revenue Sharing Used to Fight Discrimination in Virginia
Cora Tucker an independent gubernatorial candidate joined the ACLU of Virginia to promote the Revenue Sharing Act as a tool against discrimination. The group filed Virginia’s first discrimination complaint under the program, citing ease of filing and annual funding of about 1 billion dollars to local governments and the requirement to report spending and avoid discriminatory programs.

Telepone Con Artist Poses Psychiatrist In Sex Scheme
On Long Island and New York City, a caller posing as a husband’s psychiatrist urged about ten married women to pick up men for “sex therapy.” Police say more than 100 women reported similar attempts, with some following through to have strangers join their partners in sexual acts over the phone. Store Post Office Leveled By Blaze
A fire in Horsey Accomack County leveled a combination farm equipment and hardware store that housed the town post office and a warehouse. No injuries.
