Washington reports 17 716 709 motor vehicles registered in the United States in the first half of 1925, up 13.9 percent from a year earlier. The total includes 16 619 647 passenger cars and 2 114 750 trucks, with 82 312 taxis and hire cars. Gross receipts from registrations reached 226.9 million dollars, with 183.8 million for highway work. note excludes 70,200 state vehicles with unpaid fees.
