James Madison University will lose more than $1 million in state funding for fiscal 2012. After revisions by the General Assembly, JMU will receive $62.48 million for the coming year, down from $63.56 million this year, pending Gov McDonnell’s final approval.

Hearing Set For Virginia Football Players

Morgantown West Virginia Frank Buckles the last surviving U S World War I veteran died Sunday on his Charles Town farm shortly after his 110th birthday He enlisted at 16 after lying about his age and spent his final years campaigning for a national World War I memorial and reflecting on how to tell the story to the world Buckles worked with David DeJonge to push recognition and memorial efforts and expressed sadness that the project was not yet completed in early 2008.
