George Brinton Thomas 43 formerly of Fulks Run Va died June 26 2007 at 445 am Born August 8 1963 in Shawano Wisconsin he was a Super Shoes employee in Harrisonburg and a former Luray Caverns tour guide He is survived by his parents Helen F and Wilton B Thomas of Broadway Va a brother Quinton of Broadway and a friend Johanna McDonald of New Market A memorial service is set for 7 pm Friday at Sunset Drive United Methodist Church with burial at Trissels Mennonite Cemetery on Friday at 3 pm Public sympathy contributions may be sent to Sunset Drive or the Salvation Army in Harrisonburg.

Betty J Kimble 66 of Kearneysville W V died Monday June 25 2007 at Shenandoah Health Village Center Charles Town. She was born March 15 1941 in Dry Fork daughter of the late Edgar E and Nela Huffman Nelson. She worked as a cook for Jefferson County Schools and belonged to the Jefferson County Personnel Association the Charles Town Order of the Eastern Star and Charles Town Baptist Church. She married Stears I Kimble on Oct 5 1959 who survives with two daughters Kathy Lane and Chastidy Bender a son Steven Kimble six brothers and three sisters. Funeral services 11 am Thursday at Kimble Funeral Home Franklin burial Lahmansville Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 9 pm today.

FFA Honors Rollers Service With Leave a Legacy Award
O Beverley Roller of Weyers Cave is named Virginia FFA's first Leave a Legacy recipient at Virginia Tech during the state convention. The 83 year old former state president will receive a plaque as part of the program that funds a state contest and accepts tax deductible gifts to the Virginia FFA Foundation.
