Virginians reach 70 percent vaccination rate for adults
Gov. Ralph Northam announced 70 percent of Virginians 18 and older have had at least one COVID-19 dose, surpassing the Biden target. State data show 8.8 million doses administered and nearly 4.9 million with at least one dose, with Harrisonburg and Rockingham County reporting high first-dose rates and 40 percent fully vaccinated in the county. Vaccines remain free and widely distributed through doctors, health systems, pharmacies, and health teams as 150 pharmacies extend hours through July 4. The Central Shenandoah Health District has run 57 on site and mobile clinics since vaccines opened to 16+ on April 19.

HCPS Launches Summer Bridging and Enrichment Camp
Harrisonburg City Public Schools opened a revamped summer program named Summer Bridging and Enrichment Camp for grades K through 8.
