Westboro Church Plans Broadway Picket For Local Soldier

Westboro Baptist Church members from Topeka Kansas plan to demonstrate in respectful proximity to the funeral of Army Spc Brian Bucky Anderson at Broadway High School in Harrisonburg. The 24 year old 2004 BHS graduate was killed June 12 in Afghanistan when his vehicle hit a roadside bomb.

Slain Soldier's Funeral Today

Army Specialist Brian Bucky Anderson will be laid to rest at Linville Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery after a 2 p.m. funeral service at Broadway High School. Hundreds are expected at the high school gym for the service as Gov. Bob McDonnell orders flags at half staff over the state Capitol in his honor.

RMH Moves to New Medical Campus East of Harrisonburg

Rockingham Memorial Hospital completes a relocated operation at seven in the morning moving about 110 patients and 100 staff to the new medical campus near Reservoir Street and Port Republic Road. Move commander Donna Wilmoth says planning paid off and staff are ready.
