Weast Family Reunion Brings Four Generations Together

Priest Skids On Wet Road Plows Into Phone Pole
Father Charles Doyle of Montgomery West Virginia escaped injury when his car skidded on a wet highway at Lacey Spring and struck a telephone pole. State Traffic Officer Keyser said the priest, traveling north, swerved to avoid a car leaving a filling station and skidded a long distance. no injuries were reported.

Lightning shocks Weyers Cave couple on porch
A bolt of lightning struck a power pole and transformer near Weyers Cave on June 17 injuring Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Roney who were seated on their front porch. The strike blew fuses, burned the radio, and minor injuries were reported as the storm passed. Mr. Roney, manager of Valley Creamery, Inc., noted a visible fire flash along the pole. The transformer remained grounded and not destroyed.
