Woman Pleads Guilty To Murder For Hire
Heather Lyn Bergen, 34, of Grottoes, pleaded guilty in Rockingham County Circuit Court to eight felony charges for attempting to hire an assassin to kill six people including her estranged husband and mother-in-law over a custody dispute. An Alford plea acknowledged likely conviction. sentencing set for August 27 after pre-sentence report.
