Sylvia Ann Turner and Lawrence Allen Bowman were married at Bridgewater Church of the Brethren on Saturday afternoon. The bride is the daughter of Millard W. Turner of Timberville and Harold E. Bowman’s son. she wore white brocade with empire waist and carried white carnations and yellow roses. The groom is the son of Harold E. Bowman. The Rev. Robert Sherry officiated with Mrs. John Breneman at the organ. Bridesmaid Gloria Turner of Timberville, best man Mr. Bowman, and ushers Melvin Higging Jr., Dane Devier, and Raymond Stepp attended. The couple plan a Williamsburg Jamestown trip and will reside in Broadway. The bride works as a secretary at Farmers and Merchants Bank of Timberville. the groom is a Turner Ashby graduate and expects to finish Madison College in January.
